The main cruise port of Odessa - the famous Marine Station - today annually serves dozens of cruises from and to Odessa. 

Being the main sea gate of Ukraine, Odessa is now considered as one of the largest cruise centers on the Black Sea. It holds the second place in the region by cruise visits after Istanbul. Each year the port receives 70 or more cruise ships. With increasing global demand for cruises Odessa becomes an increasingly attractive destination. In 2011 the port received about 100 thousand passengers. The port’s capacity is 4 million people.

Odessa Marine Station is located in close proximity to the city's main attractions, including the famous Potemkin Steps. The total length of cruise terminal piers is 1370 meters, which allows Odessa to receive five cruise ships simultaneously. The maximum length of the ships received by the port is 300 meters.

To date Odessa port passenger terminal is the most modern in Ukraine. There are dozens of travel agencies’ offices, Odessa hotel, as well as restaurants and nightclubs.

Odessa tries to attract world leading cruise operators to the port. Not only the port authorities, but also the city administration want improve the city’s infrastructure for this purpose.
